Fall Bear Hunts
Seven day guided or non-guided archery or gun black bear hunts are available for the weeks of September 6-13th and September 13-20th, 2008.
Unguided bear hunting package plan includes:
- Seven day housekeeping cabin
- Boat, motor and all gas used
- Active baits are pre-baited two weeks prior to your hunt
- Guided trip to bait sites at the beginning of the hunt
Guided bear hunt includes all the above, plus a guide to assist with the baiting, tracking, skinning and meat preparation of your kill if you plan to keep the bear meat for eating.
Whether you choose the guided or non-guided hunt, we require our hunters to bring their own tree stand(s).
Peffley's Canadian Wilderness Camp has nearly 36 square miles of Bear Management Area around Wabaskang Lake for our hunters to use. Our hunters access their baited stands by boat (included in their hunting package), therefore they are also able to fish during their weekly stay in camp. As a result, every bear hunt booked is actually a hunt/fish combo if the guest chooses to do both.
To further ensure the success of our bear hunters, we will only conduct four hunts during our season. Two hunts are available each of the following two weeks: September 5-12, 2009 and September 12-19, 2009.
Bear Hunt Rates: (Please note bear hunts require a minimum of two people, however both members of the party do not have to be hunters.) Rate for second member of the party (non-hunter) is $250.00.
- Guided hunt ---- $1,750.00
- Unguided hunt - $1,250.00
A $500.00 deposit per hunter is required at time of booking.
Not included in package:
- Bear Hunting License - $180 Canadian
